Project Manager - Construction

Description

The role focuses on leading projects and teams, taking overall responsibility for achieving project goals on both smaller and larger assignments under the guidance of a Senior Project Manager or Client Executive. The Project Manager is accountable for the performance of all team members throughout the project lifecycle.

The Project Manager supports the Client Executive in pursuing new work, contributing significantly to RFP responses, interviews, and the development of client and architect/engineer relationships. They also assist in reviewing and negotiating owner contracts and play a pivotal role in the pre‑construction phase through to the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP).

The position includes participation in annual employee performance reviews and a commitment to mentoring Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Field Engineers to enhance their skills. Continuous self‑improvement through technical and leadership training is expected.

• Lead project teams to achieve goals on small and large assignments under senior leadership.
• Support Client Executive in business development, RFP responses, and contract negotiations.
• Manage project finances, budgets, and ensure operational success.
• Coordinate with Superintendent to oversee schedule, quality, safety, logistics, and technical resolutions.
• Maintain and develop client and architect/engineer relationships throughout project lifecycle.
• Resolve project issues in partnership with senior management.
• Prepare and maintain the Operations Report.
• Conduct employee performance reviews and mentor junior project staff.
• Report to Senior Project Manager/Client Executive and collaborate with pre‑construction, estimating, purchasing, and senior leadership teams.
