You will prepare clear, concise technical and project reports that satisfy client requirements and S&L formats, and you will share knowledge with peers through the company’s Communities of Practice. Travel to client sites may be required as part of the job.
Essential qualifications include a BSEE from an ABET‑accredited program and at least seven years of experience designing medium‑voltage power systems. Candidates must be able to prioritize work, manage multiple projects within budget and schedule constraints, track project information, prepare status reports, and interface with clients. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, experience reviewing design drawings, and proficiency with MS Office are also required.
Preferred but not required experience includes seven or more years designing substations rated 138 kV and above, performing grounding, shielding, and battery sizing calculations, and creating single‑line, relaying, metering, DC schematic, and grounding plans. Familiarity with ANSI/IEEE/NEMA standards, a PE license, and AutoCAD experience are valued.
This role offers a hybrid work schedule that combines office time with remote work from home. You will join a project team of engineers and designers to handle detailed electrical design and project management for high‑voltage substation projects. As a Substation Electrical Engineer you will actively participate in project conceptualization, work planning, and execution while tackling challenging assignments that involve investigating, troubleshooting, and solving a variety of electrical engineering issues.

The compensation range for this position is $95,840.00 to $147,870.00, with a transparent total package that includes base salary, benefits, and eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.
