- Meet the criteria for, and have performed the functions of, a UXO-TIII, UXOQCS, and UXOSO. Ensure compliance with a DoD Military Service- and/or DDESB-approved site plans.
- Make the final safety status determination of discovered MEC with the UXOSO.
- Complete a daily site report Review and approve UXO team reports.
- Participate in and successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment fitness for duty exam in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120. This position is contingent upon passing a Fit for Duty exam by receiving a medically “qualified” fit for duty result letter indicating the employee is medically “qualified” to conduct work activities at the jobsite.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise all on-site munitions response activities.

- Valid US Passport through 11/2026
- Graduate of a military EOD assistant course; or an accredited UXO technician training course; or military EOD school of the US, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, or Australia.
- This position will require a Motor Vehicle Record Screening.
- Must have a 10-hour or 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety course. Current 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher
- Military EOD school graduates: 2 years minimum MEC-related experience, 1 year minimum MEC-Supervisory experience, 10 years total EOD and MEC experience.
- On-the-job training including, but not limited to, familiarity with the process, procedures, and equipment (e.g., geophysical) used for conducting MEC-related activities.
- Accredited UXO School graduates: 10 years minimum MEC-related experience. 5 years minimum MEC-Supervisory experience. 13 years minimum total MEC experience.
- 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety
- High school diploma + 4 years of experience and or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education
- Possesses an understanding of applicable explosives safety criteria and experience in the various phases of a munitions response to MEC or the performance of range clearance activities, as appropriate for the operations to be performed.
- 8-hour OSHA Supervisor (initial)
- Current driver’s license. The position requires using an AECOM provided vehicle and/or personal vehicle for AECOM company business.
- Explosive Ordnance Disposal certificate
- Must have completed a 10-hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Training and earned a Department of Labor Construction Safety Course Completion Card. Must demonstrate an understanding of QC and QA practices associated with MEC-related activities and managing and processing MPPEH, including documentation of its explosives safety status
- Pass pre-employment drug screen.
- Graduate of an OSHA-compliant (Section 1910.120(e)(4) of Title 29, CFR) 8-hour Management and Supervisor Training Course.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position, however, travel and per diem will be provide.
