Tasks

-Oversee ergonomic assessments and safety‑in‑design reviews, supporting engineering and operations teams with practical controls. -Support investigations and corrective actions following critical events. -Analyse incident and hazard data to identify trends and recommend targeted interventions. -Conduct risk assessments and influence changes in work methods or tools to reduce or eliminate hazards. -Deliver prevention programs for key risks such as manual handling, electricity, fall from heights, and driving. -Implement and coordinate the Critical Risk Management framework across the business. -Lead, coach, and develop a team of hazard and risk specialists, providing guidance, task allocation, and development planning. -Coach leaders and engage frontline teams to embed risk management practices and drive continuous improvement.

What You Bring

-Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the business. -In‑depth knowledge of State and Federal safety legislation and standards. -Proven leadership of health, hygiene, or safety professionals, with a track record of delivering practical, evidence‑based solutions. -Extensive experience in health, safety, hazard, and risk management within large or high‑risk organisations. -Strong analytical and risk assessment skills, with the ability to identify trends and make sound, evidence‑based decisions. -Relevant tertiary qualification in Health, Safety, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
