- Prepare written specifications for major repairs
- Reassemble machines and make all necessary adjustment for operation
- Replace broken or defective parts
- Prioritizes tasks to ensure completion in a timely manner
- Examine machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose source of trouble
- Dismantle or partly dismantle machines and perform repairs
- Design , construct, install and repair wooden fixtures such as cabinets, furniture, shelving, doors, plaques and other custom wood products
- May stand for long periods and frequently work on ladders and scaffolds
- PRACTICES WORKPLACE SAFETY in the use of tools, equipment, and supplies - Including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- May spend long hours in awkward positions which can cause physical discomfort and strain
- Perform carpenter duties to include but not limited to framing and finish work, painting, staining etc

- Knowledge of building architectural/structural elements including; alterations and repairs
- Experience must be in an industrial or commercial facilities maintenance environment
- Adaptable and flexible in work situations
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Work both indoors and outdoors in various temperatures (some extreme) and weather conditions
- 3+ years' experience as a carpenter/maintenance mechanic
- MUST have SCI eligibility
- Use of hands, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and walking
- Climbing ladders and entering confined spaces
- Thorough knowledge of applicable state and federal codes and regulations pertaining to the trade
- Valid driver's license compliant with REAL ID Act or willing and able to obtain one
- TS/SCI clearance
- Prolonged periods of sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, or stooping
- High school diploma or equivalent
- U. S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations
- Thorough knowledge of theory and methods, materials, tools, equipment and systems used in the trade
