• Foster design excellence across all studio projects
• Implement the firm's design process and advocate for innovation tools
• Present designs to clients and demonstrate excellent presentation skills
• Oversee the work of Project Designers
• Direct production of design materials meeting project objectives, schedules, and budgets
• Promote technical and professional excellence throughout the team
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends, regulatory and construction practices
• Identify needs and seek solutions using new technologies for project production
• Mentor and guide the project team to achieve objectives
• Provide coaching, feedback, and reinforcement to support individual development
• Contribute to industry events to build the firm’s practice
• Maintain professional registration
• Pursue design awards and publications as primary contributor
• Act as a leader, collaborator, and mentor within the studio
• Participate continuously in external design activities and groups

Requirements

Corgan is actively recruiting an experienced, registered Interior Designer to join the firm as part of our Workplace Interiors team in our new Washington DC office. Tackle these responsibilities alongside a team of creative, highly motivated individuals who are passionate about their work and ready to collaborate to achieve outstanding results. Our ideal team member is passionate and progressively seeking more responsibilities to expand their expertise.

• Demonstrate knowledge of resources, materials, and their applications
• Apply excellent programming and strategic planning skills
• Hold a degree from a CIDA‑accredited Interior Design program or equivalent
• Bring 10+ years of workplace interior design experience with a record of leading high‑quality teams
• Stay familiar with current global design trends in workplace interiors
• Demonstrate public speaking expertise in the design field
• Apply sustainable design methods and familiarity with AIA’s 2030 DDX
• Proficient in Revit, Word, Excel; preferred experience with Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, or other 3‑D modeling tools

Base Salary Range: $120,000 to $150,000 annually – Washington DC location only. The estimate range represents the general base salary range of candidates hired in Washington DC only. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training. In addition, base salary is not inclusive of total compensation.
