The role also works with the Strategic Planning Lead and other internal teams to improve reporting and governance processes, ensuring that data used for planning and reporting is accurate and reliable, and that timelines align with business needs.

  • Alongside sustainability specialists, tracking and measurement of sustainability reporting initiatives and identify gaps to improve Melbourne Water performance as an organisation.
  • Monitoring and benchmarking reporting trends and changes to reporting standards to provide insights and recommendations on advancing Melbourne Water’s external reporting practices.
  • Leading the development of the Annual Report and Corporate Plan in compliance with Government reporting frameworks.
  • Influencing internal and external stakeholders to enhance the value of these regulatory reporting processes.

  • Demonstrated exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently and clearly engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Significant experience in strategic business performance and reporting across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in Annual Report and Corporate Plan preparation and other Governance Reporting.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Tertiary degree or equivalent experience in business, engineering, and/or sustainability.
  • Experience in State Government/Government agencies, Management Consulting, Strategy and/or Sustainable Private or listed company reporting roles would be considered favourably.
