The manager develops and directs service‑line strategies that support VHB’s strategic plan, aligns offerings with market requirements, collaborates with regional leadership to identify new services, and creates growth plans that include key hires and business opportunities while monitoring the financial performance of the Survey/Geomatics group.
The role promotes awareness of emerging technologies, deploys leading‑edge processes and applications to improve project execution, and crafts client solutions leveraging data advances. It also works with leadership to establish consistent work processes, quality plans, and implements best‑practice recommendations from audits.
The manager creates project plans, allocates resources, manages budgets, scopes, and schedules, and encourages work‑sharing across offices. Supervision includes hiring, training, assigning work, performance evaluation, coaching, and fostering professional development while ensuring compliance with all regulations and VHB policies.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manager for the Survey/Geomatics group, based in Hauppauge (Long Island), NY. This role involves overall program/project management, leading and scaling the team for diverse projects, and employing data‑driven technologies to ensure high‑quality deliverables for our client. The ideal candidate possesses excellent management, communication, and interpersonal skills, a strategic mindset for innovative ideas, broad technical mastery, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and strong organizational detail. Required are 10+ years of Survey/Geomatics experience (5+ in client/staff/project management) and a BS in a related field; a Professional Land Surveyor license is preferred.
Salary is estimated at $160,000‑180,000, complemented by a holistic benefits package.
