Private UK utility supplying drinking water and treating wastewater across southern England.
This newly created role sits at the core of Southern Water’s wastewater network operations, acting as the vital link between communities and infrastructure. You will uncover and resolve hidden network issues, influence contractor interactions, and shape strategic projects. The position combines hands‑on field work with decision‑making and design adaptation.
You will work closely with project managers, internal teams, customers and Highways Authorities while maintaining safe and efficient operations. Some out‑of‑hours attendance at community or stakeholder meetings may be required, and regular travel between multiple sites is expected.
The position of Wastewater Network Technician will close on 13 October 2025. It is a full‑time permanent role based across Kent, Sussex and Hampshire, requiring travel across catchments. The role offers up to £46,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, and a 37‑hour work week.
While flexible working requests cannot always be met, Southern Water will seek practical solutions to accommodate personal circumstances where possible.
