Materials Supervisor

Description

• Works with Supplier Quality Engineering for management, sorting, reworking and replacement of materials for quality rejections.
• Supervises Engineering Changes implementation.
• Place and management of purchase orders with suppliers assigned as needed.
• Sets monthly inventory and Days On Hand (DOH) goals for each buyer planner or supplier to guarantee supply but avoid excess.
• Supervision and implementation of pull systems with suppliers by the buyers.
• Ensures supplier delivery performance meets WR goals, works with buyers and suppliers to improve this metric.
• Ensure that the delivery of materials meets Production Schedule requirements.
• Management and improvement of suppliers delivery frequency to ensure its meets WR goals, works with buyers, Commodity Managers and suppliers to improve this metric.
• Perform analysis of materials as required (excess, obsolescence, etc.)
• Supervises supplier changes when components are resourced by commodity management.
• Analyze component requirements through JDE, Component Matrix and other reports as needed.
• Supervision of buyers on components purchasing and planning activities execution.

Requirements

• English, Spanish fluency 95%.
• Master’s Degree
• Bachelor Degree Preferred.
• 4 years’ minimum purchasing and expediting experience with ERP
• English, Spanish fluency 100%.
• Extended Knowledge of JIT, KANBAN and other pull systems.
• 5 S’s
• MS Office extended knowledge.
• APICS Certification
