Assess and Mitigate Project Risks

Supervise Project Teams to achieve project Safety, Quality and Delivery Strategy requirements.

  • Execute the procurement exercise and subsequent review for supplier selection.
  • Ensure supervision of own staff and contractors on, and off, site to required standards of safety and quality including identification of training requirements.
  • Execute placement of purchase orders on behalf of the project and the customer.
  • Sole project start up and delivery of lower risk, lower complexity projects under the guidance of the business stream manager.
  • Provide input for tender responses.
  • Identify and agree contract deviations.
  • Sets up work breakdown structure (WBS)
  • Assess tenderer costs, performance indicators and let subcontracts.
  • Establish document and key deliverables schedule.
  • Functionally responsible for implementing the Nuvia project delivery process to the Head of the PMO
  • Assists in delivering the Project Safely.
  • Establishes base line budget and schedule.
  • Responsible for the successful delivery of the project delegated scope in accordance with the Project Management Plan.
  • Set up project team, obtain resources and mobilise as part of a project.
  • Identify and assess risks to the project
  • Sets up accounting structure to suit the WBS.
  • Maintain record of project costs and commitments, compare with plan and take corrective action where required.
  • Prepares Procurement Strategy as applicable.
  • Delegated responsibility for management of project scope and any deviation from that agreed scope.
  • Establish cost control methodology.
  • Delegated responsibility for project teams, comprising both Nuvia personnel and external contractor resources, and subcontractors where applicable.
  • Under the direction / supervision of a Senior Project Manager (SPM) or Project Manager (PM) assists in the execution of projects and gains awareness of project management process and practise.
  • Prepares a project delivery strategy.
  • Establishes effective communications.
  • Established resource requirements and liaises with the business to secure the correct SQEP resource to meet the project requirements.
  • Produce periodic progress reports for customer and internal, including financial reports.
  • Prepares Safety Plan as applicable.
  • Organises project start-up meeting.
  • Hold regular internal reporting with the business line manager.
  • Execute subcontractors in accordance with company subcontract management process.
  • Prepares the Project Management Plan (in conjunction with others for larger projects).
  • Supervises the Project Team or sub project in accordance with company requirements.
  • Assists in project activities to meet time cost, quality requirements and manage risk.
  • Hold regular progress meetings with the customer.
  • Where applicable and within the experience and awareness of the individual take responsibility for delegated aspects of project delivery including definition, design, procurement, manufacture, construction and commissioning to a practised level within the delegated scope.
  • Track progress and resource usage on schedule, mitigate any deviations present or foreseen
  • Responsible for delegated project financial performance.
  • Assists the SPM / PM in project start up and delivery of larger projects
  • Generate and implement risk mitigation strategies.
