In this role you will provide exceptional service to passengers, handling inquiries, preparing travel bookings and assisting with luggage for connecting regional services, while also overseeing day‑to‑day station operations, presentation, cleaning and general maintenance.

Safety is a top priority; you will ensure standards are met, proactively manage potential safety risks and maintain a secure environment for both staff and passengers.

• Deliver exceptional passenger service: handle inquiries, bookings, and luggage assistance.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and proactively mitigate safety risks.
• Work a rotating roster: part‑time 7‑day on/off shifts (6 pm‑12 am, 42 h/fortnight) or full‑time relief with day/night/weekend/public‑holiday shifts across Canberra, Yass and Goulburn.
• Join a talent pool for future temporary and permanent positions over an 18‑month horizon.
• Solve problems quickly, make prompt decisions and collaborate with diverse stakeholders in a safety‑focused setting.

You should have solid customer‑service experience, thrive in a fast‑paced frontline environment, be resilient, possess outstanding interpersonal skills, and be able to give clear instructions and manage difficult conversations with a diverse range of people.

Confidence in problem‑solving, prompt decision‑making and collaborating with various stakeholders in a safety‑focused operational setting is essential.

Benefits

We have two Senior Customer Attendant positions available: a permanent part‑time role with a 7‑day rotating roster (7 days on, 7 days off) and shifts between 6 pm and 12 am totaling 42 hours per fortnight, and a full‑time relief role with rotating day, night, weekend and public‑holiday shifts across the Canberra cluster, including Yass and Goulburn.

The full‑time position pays $1,433.25 per week including the Industry Allowance; part‑time employees receive pro‑rated pay, shift allowances, superannuation and up to five weeks of annual leave loading.
