Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skilled in developing comprehensive documentation and support systems that empower product design engineers to independently access information and navigate formal change order processes.
Knowledge of UL standards such as UL 891, UL1012, UL1778, UL1008, UL508A, UL1691, UL489, UL924, UL1741, UL1640, and others.
Demonstrated knowledge of electrical standards and regulations.
Proficiency in report writing, analysis, and compliance procedures.
Skilled in business operations or project management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to apply regulatory compliance frameworks effectively.
Ability to establish scope of work with, coordinate work with, and interpret results from UL, ETL, and/or other NRTLs.
Ability to communicate with test engineers at high-power labs, NRTLs, and product design engineers to explain to team-members, why a particular configuration or design will not work and subsequently provide options enabling the sought certification without compromising the intended functionality.
Minimum of Ten (10) years of industrial experience in electrical product compliance, product certifications or a related field.
Ability to manage uncertainty and competing priorities in a fast-paced technology development environment; solid technical knowledge and understanding of product/process design.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in a research and new product development environment.
Certification as a compliance professional is a plus.
Proficient in developing qualification and pre-certification test plans to ensure first-pass success at a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL).
Proficient in creating checklists and guidelines ensuring adherence to local, national, and international compliance requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or a related field)
