  • Develop and maintain a high standard of quality control for the design process, including prompt troubleshooting and creative problem-solving for any equipment and/or design issues identified.
  • Approve designs before submittal to clientele.
  • Manage and enforce engineering quality and compliance with outside plant design specifications.
  • Manage engineering vendor workload and production to achieve critical milestones.
  • Provide effective and comprehensive support of network deployment and other cross-functional teams.
  • Develop new initiatives proactively for network design process improvements and work cross-functionally to make decisions about priorities. Drive programs across product areas, show leadership and influence across teams.
  • Communicate quality issues with the engineers and field engineers to find resolutions.
  • Manage the production of efficient designs for new development, network relocations, and network upgrades.
  • Develop and manage the engineering design process flow to accelerate Fiber to the Home (FTTH) designs that include highly constructible job packages through final as-built completion.

PRG is seeking a skilled Fiber Design Review Coordinator to join our team. The Fiber Design Review Coordinator ensures fast, accurate, and high-quality FTTH designs from concept to completion. You’ll manage vendors, enforce standards, and drive efficient, build-ready designs that keep projects on track.

  • Knowledge of SLD creation at the F1 and F2 level projects.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • 3 years of experience with FTTH infrastructure.
  • Accurately depict new construction route opportunities, with the ability to identify, research, and problem-solve cable path/placement issues and accurately relay solutions to the engineering team.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Fiber Optic network equipment, various OSP architectures, splice operations, configuration, and overall system design.
  • Ability to create and review Fiber Construction Drawings for various architectures.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adjust delivery to your audience as needed.
  • Experience in the construction of new outside and inside plant (OSP/ISP) fiber infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of SS creation and an ability to identify SS issues that originate in various stages of design.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Google Earth/Maps.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel.
  • Excellent time management.
  • QA/QC of the following OSP aspects, including identifying issues, researching possible solutions, making corrective proposals, and tracking updates to the project's end.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Expertise in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), 3-GIS, and AutoCAD drafting capabilities.
  • Exemplary communication skills with excellent presentation skills. Ability to represent the project from business, product, and technical perspectives.
  • Knowledge of ROW/easements for various municipalities and experience with local city utility permitting.
  • Single Line Drawings (SLD)
  • Knowledge of BOM creation, including material research for different markets and OSP architectures.
  • Proficiency in Google G-Suite, including Drive, Docs, Sheets, Drawings, and Presentations.
