Perform construction stakeout, preliminary topographic, boundary, ALTA, and other types of surveys.
Assist and occasionally oversee field survey operations in the absence of the Survey Party Chief.
Read and interpret maps, plats, blueprints, and project specifications.
Operate and maintain a variety of surveying instruments to measure and verify elevations, angles, and distances.
Perform mathematical calculations to establish and locate reference points, property corners, and control points for line and grade staking.
Clean, calibrate, and adjust survey instruments to ensure accuracy.

Willingness to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience operating survey instruments or related field experience, preferred.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Proficiency in performing algebraic, geometric, and trigonometric calculations.
Physically capable of walking over rough terrain and standing for extended periods (up to 12 hours on occasion).
Working knowledge of land and construction survey methods and procedures.
Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot survey instruments.
Three years survey instrument operation or related experience involving the accurate and precise measurement of land areas, boundaries and topographical features using optical electronic measuring devices.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
