Minimum 8-10 years experience required. The role involves preparing cost plans at various design stages—concept, schematic, and design development—while analyzing unit rates, pricing BOQ items, supporting value engineering, gathering market quotations, and assisting with tender estimates and cost plan reporting.
Responsibilities include procurement tasks such as preparing pre‑qualification documentation, maintaining tender schedules, managing tender events, issuing documents, evaluating tenders, and drafting tender reports. Experience with standard contracts like FIDIC and CPWD and assistance in compiling final contract documents is also expected.
The position requires preparing interim payment recommendations, maintaining cost‑control documentation, and managing change‑control processes. Contributions to cost reporting, cash‑flow forecasting, variation valuation, risk‑allowance tracking, and final‑account preparation are essential.
A solid understanding of construction technologies and methods is needed to assess cost implications of materials, labour, and construction techniques during both design and execution phases.
Proficiency in CAD, Cost‑X, and other quantity take‑off/estimation software is required, along with strong MS Excel and Word skills and the ability to learn and adapt to customized software solutions.
