As an Airframe Assembly Technician, you will work with a team of engineers and technicians to fabricate, modify, assemble, install, and repair composite parts and tooling for the production of electric aircraft and equipment. You will also manage necessary materials and supplies while maintaining the composite shop facilities.
You will assemble airframes by drilling, riveting, fitting, and bonding precision components, turning blueprints and specifications into physical products. Collaboration with detail‑focused teammates and creative problem‑solving are essential parts of the role.
This role follows a weekend shift schedule, working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with 12‑hour shifts for a total of 36 hours per week. Overtime is available and encouraged based on business needs.
At BETA Technologies, we apply our intellectual curiosity, passion for aviation, and commitment to sustainability toward a shared mission of revolutionizing electric aviation. Regardless of the position one holds, each team member brings their talent and desire to positively impact the environment and lives of others in a refreshing, vibrant, and inclusive culture.
We seek individuals who notice details others miss, are hands‑on builders, and uphold meticulous standards where “close enough” is not acceptable. Pride in work and a desire to make an impact are also important.
A strong aptitude for tools and materials, the ability to read blueprints and diagrams, steady hands, and a commitment to doing things right are required. Experience in manufacturing or aviation is a bonus, but quick learners with a passion for building are welcome.
The position demands physical activities such as lifting up to 50 lb, climbing, balancing, and working in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, often requiring personal protective equipment. Operators must have excellent hand‑eye coordination, manual dexterity, and vision capabilities, and may need to operate forklifts or pallet jacks safely.
You will be part of a team that values precision and celebrates craftsmanship, working on projects that truly matter and will take to the skies. Competitive pay, excellent benefits, and growth opportunities further enhance the experience.
Hourly compensation ranges from $26 to $32, based on skills, experience, and industry background, reflecting BETA’s commitment to fair and equitable pay. Compensation is discussed further during the interview process.
