- Plans and conducts independent Systems Engineering work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of Systems techniques, procedures and criteria on a medium size project or assignment in support of a global business unit
- Coordinates and facilitates technical discussions on systems designs and recommends solutions to upper management
- Coordinates and interfaces as directed with the day-to-day technical work of personnel
- Reviews and prepares Systems Engineering documents relating to requirements management, verification and validation, functional analysis, technical trade studies, interface management, reliability, availability, maintainability, systems integration, and configuration management
- Provides input to and participates in special technical educational and training programs as directed
- Prepares or oversees the preparation of discipline estimates and work plan in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget, and supports implementation and assists with performance reporting
- Conducts or leads special studies of new Systems Engineering methods, tools and techniques
- Interprets new or special regulations, codes, standards, criteria, and performance data
- Coordinates with client representatives, as directed, to obtain their approval of Systems aspects of the work
- Mentors Systems Engineering personnel by providing on-the-job training for their professional development

- At least 10 years of broad progressive work experience in design engineering, or other relevant types of engineering associated with major building and infrastructure design and construction projects.
- Typically requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years or relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
- Expertise using engineering design and office software, including AutoCAD Civil 3-D, MS Office and PowerBi.
- Broad knowledge of industry/regulatory/local codes and standards and design criteria in safety in design. Aviation or rail project experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated skill in oral and written communication including technical writing.
- Ability to influence and engage in a collaborative working environment with internal and external stakeholders while maintaining necessary levels of commercial awareness
