Act as electrical lead or project lead, ensuring design quality, programme, and client satisfaction.
Develop and review specifications, cable calculations, schematics, wiring diagrams, loop sheets, and tender packs.
Collaborate directly with clients and project engineers to define requirements and develop innovative, compliant technical solutions.
Prepare and coordinate electrical models and drawings in AutoCAD and Revit / BIM.
Participate in constructability and safety reviews and carry out site surveys, inspections, and sign-off as required.
Mentor and manage a small team of engineers, overseeing deliverables and training needs.
Design MV/LV electrical systems, including MCCs, distribution boards, cable systems, earthing, and protection schemes using SKM PTW and Trimble / Amtech.
Lead and coordinate electrical design on industrial projects, working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
This is a hands-on technical and leadership role where you'll manage design delivery, coordinate with clients and project teams, and lead junior engineers in producing high-quality electrical designs from concept to completion.
Ensure best-practice standards, safety, and quality across all design deliverables.
Represent the company in client meetings, tenders, and technical workshops at senior level.
Demonstrated experience producing protection studies, discrimination analysis, short-circuit, and arc-flash reports.
Ideal for an experienced engineer ready to take ownership of major projects in power generation, data centres, industrial manufacturing, and food & beverage sectors.
Degree in Electrical Engineering (Chartered Engineer status preferred).
Strong technical background in MV / LV distribution, generators, UPS systems, lightning protection, earthing & bonding, and control networking.
10+ years' proven experience in industrial electrical design and project delivery.
Experience with SKM PTW and/or Trimble Amtech design software.
Professional, organised, and collaborative team leader with strong communication skills.
Fluent spoken and excellent written English - essential and non-negotiable.
Advanced user of AutoCAD and Revit / BIM.
Excellent problem-solver with ability to apply value-engineering and introduce new technologies.
Solid understanding of CIBSE/Ashrae Guides, Building Regulations, IEC / EN Standards, and applicable electrical codes.
Exposure to major industrial, power, and data-centre projects across Ireland and Europe
