  • Participate in client site visits, gaining exposure to real-world operational challenges and best practices.
  • Support the preparation of spares requirements for planned and upcoming projects.
  • Maintain awareness and compliance with Health & Safety standards in all work environments.
  • Engage in hands-on learning to develop technical competencies in generator engineering, including mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Perform basic maintenance, diagnosis, repair, and testing of diesel generator sets, switchgear, control systems, and associated equipment under supervision.
  • Provide occasional out-of-hours and on-call service under supervision to develop problem-solving skills in critical scenarios.
  • Assist with Planned Preventative Maintenance and support senior engineers in diagnostic and remedial works.

  • Willingness to travel and adapt to various work environments as required.
  • A full UK driving license is preferred or the intention to obtain one within a specified time.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and develop strong professional relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • GCSEs in Maths, English, Science, or equivalent qualifications (Grade 9-4/A*-C).
  • A strong interest in mechanical and electrical systems, with some relevant experience (customer-facing experience beneficial but not required).
  • Basic understanding of diagnostic principles and technical report writing.
