Head of Tendering and Preconstruction

Description

The role will head up the Utility Line’s Tendering & Pre-Construction departments, working on full turnkey electrical projects throughout the UK. In this role you will lead the Tendering and Pre-Construction Teams throughout the initial stages of projects from initial enquiries in all the way through to handover at Pre-Construction. Recently acquired by Adler & Allan, our focus for 24-25 is growth and market leadership with a focus always on a high standard of customer service.

• Provide technical support to Pre-Construction team and others who may require
• Monthly and ad-hoc reporting on your business functions
• Act as a contact with our customers to handle all escalated issues relating to pre-construction and receiving feedback on our performance to
• Support the Managing Director in defining target markets, identifying and qualifying new business opportunities
• Ensure that the output of new tenders are always managed in a timely manner
• Drive business development initiatives to facilitate sustainable revenue growth
• Ensure the timely handover of won projects to the Pre-Construction teams
• Forecast project delivery timescales to support operational delivery planning
• Ensure existing leads and outstanding tenders are followed up by the Bid Team and act as support if/when required to make adjustments to win new projects
• Support the team with the scope of new project enquiries
• Ensure that handovers from the Pre-Construction team to the Construction teams are completed on time and in line with client expectations
• Deliver supportive business communication through advice, review, leadership and direct contribution to management team meetings, briefing and correspondence
• Support the Tendering Manager by providing clear direction, guidance and set expectations for the relevant individual and wider estimating team
• Identify and implement performance improvement processes

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced head of Tendering and Pre construction to lead our tendering strategy, oversee bid management and ensure seamless collaboration within our different teams.
