Maintenance Worker

Description

The Maintenance Worker installs, maintains and repairs the facility's building structures and systems, including plumbing, electrical wiring and fixtures, machinery, equipment, electronics, vehicles and grounds.

• Install, maintain, and repair building structures, plumbing, electrical systems, machinery, equipment, electronics, vehicles, and grounds.
• Maintain and repair the facility’s physical structure to support safe and secure operations.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair machines and equipment.
• Install and repair electrical apparatus, including wiring and electronic components of machinery/equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance according to the established plan.
• Supervise and track inmates/residents assigned to the Maintenance Department.

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years of general maintenance or construction experience (or equivalent technical/trade school coursework on a year-for-year basis).
• Knowledge of building construction and operation of building systems (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Minimum age of 21 years.
