  • Leads and motivates diverse teams to achieve high levels of performance. Establishes and fosters team environment.

  • Champions and promotes Company policies regarding employees, housekeeping, safety, administration, labor relations, reporting, and public relations.
  • Provides stewardship for, and is actively engaged in, company initiatives such as mentoring, succession planning and the development of team members for future career opportunities.
  • Advises and champions continuous improvement to enhance and improve company procedures, practices, policies.
  • Produces estimates, schedules, logistics and safety plans, buyout, constructability reviews and other preconstruction deliverables as required.
  • Actively participates in industry, client, and community events to enhance the Lewis brand.
  • Actively contribute to safety-based planning during the preconstruction and planning phase.
  • Collaboratively leads project teams to achieve optimum results on projects and the highest levels of team Supports and fosters effective communication between field and office teams.
  • Establishes project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of Company policies and procedures.
  • Oversees the development of a comprehensive Project Schedule, regular updates, and manages delays to assure all projects are completed within the contractual duration.
  • Immediately responds to jobsite crisis in conjunction with Lewis policies.
  • Leads, promotes and ensures team compliance with all Company and industry safety policies and procedures.
  • Negotiates contract terms in partnership with President or Vice President.
  • Develops schedules for construction teams and ensure all projects are fully-staffed.
  • Ensures monthly safety reviews of current projects, shares results and recommends corrective action as needed.
  • Responsible for fostering company safety culture and accountability on all projects.
  • Reviews work of Project Managers to ensure client satisfaction, contract terms, schedule terms and safety are consistent with Company agreements and policies.
  • Identifies and communicates staffing needs, participates in company recruitment efforts, identifying candidates and persuading them to join the company.
  • Oversees all assigned project bids and new work proposals. Involves and utilizes the estimating team in preparing budgets and proposals.
  • Ensures compliance with critical Owner contract terms and conditions, namely contract price, and contract time notice provisions to ensure Lewis’ interests and risks are protected.
  • Leads negotiated sales efforts including differentiation strategy, proposal management and interview preparation.
  • Maintains positive working relationships with clients & architect and/or engineer contacts to facilitate successful project execution.
  • Conduct required monthly Safety inspections on your projects. It is the PX’s responsibility to insure teammates are performing the required number of Safety inspections.
  • Collaborates with Lewis’ Estimating and Preconstruction Teams in assembling preconstruction deliverables required by clients.
  • Responsible for budget preparation, cost control, cash flow management, and financial tracking and reporting.
  • Oversees performance of project(s) including: project status, schedule, cost control, and change management systems.
  • Develop and execute strategies for obtaining new project opportunities. Identify potential clients and project leads in targeted segments, research background data, prioritize pursuits with other Project Executives, and coordinate efforts with Marketing and Precon groups.
  • Builds effective relationships with clients, vendors, design teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support Company core values and meet or exceed the customer’s expectations.
  • Manages financial aspects of contracts to protect client and Company interests.
  • Directs multiple projects in various stages of development.

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in commercial construction management overseeing multiple, multi-million dollar projects and negotiated GMP commercial building projects.
  • OSHA 10.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project management software required; preferred Primavera (P6) or Microsoft Project. Familiarity with CMiC or other project planning tools is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once while maintaining high levels of performance on cost, quality, and safety.
  • Proven ability to manage and perform as necessary all aspects of construction operations and sales including proposals, interviews, estimating, scheduling, cost management, buyout, contract negotiations, and staff management.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills with ability and willingness to effectively surmount challenges, direct others, and effectively address conflicts.
  • Demonstrates personal ownership of jobsite safety and personal commitment to return all workers home safely each and every day.
  • Maintains detailed knowledge of all key contract terms and conditions.
  • Proven ability in budget preparation, cost estimating and control, financial tracking and reporting.
  • Proven ability to identify risk and solve complex problems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or related field.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge working with regulatory agencies throughout the critical construction process.
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems in a collaborative, team-based culture.
  • Proven ability to hire, develop, and lead high-performance teams.
  • Working knowledge of BIM required.
