

HDR provides architecture, engineering, environmental, and construction services for infrastructure projects.
The specialist will lead medium to large, multidisciplinary FERC regulatory projects, directing teams throughout the project lifecycle, from initiation to close‑out. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing technical studies and regulatory documents, managing several concurrent projects, maintaining client relationships, presenting work at meetings and conferences, tracking finances, and mentoring junior staff.
Preferred qualifications include hands‑on experience with Northern California utilities and irrigation districts that operate hydropower facilities, deep knowledge of local watersheds and resource issues, active involvement in industry associations, a master’s degree in environmental science or a related field, and PMP certification.
Required qualifications are a bachelor’s degree in a related field, at least ten years of relevant experience, a minimum of five years in project management, proficiency with Microsoft Office and project‑management software, strong organizational and communication skills, and a commitment to the employee‑owned culture.
