The Workplace Strategy Lead oversees occupancy planning for the client’s portfolio, managing supply, capacity, and demand across campuses, headquarters, or regions. The role ensures that planning aligns with the client’s strategic vision.
In this senior role the lead may manage a complex asset or region, supervise multiple occupancy planners, and handle special projects such as mergers and acquisitions. Collaboration with account leadership, service lines, and client representatives is essential for staffing, project delivery, and relationship management.
The lead directs planning and development of new spatial activities and current projects, prepares operational presentations on space pipelines, and conducts meetings with stakeholders to obtain approvals and drive solutions. Compliance with Cushman & Wakefield tools, processes, and standards is maintained, and proactive root‑cause analysis is used to recommend optimal actions.
Key responsibilities include coordinating with IFM, PDS, and client real‑estate leadership, maintaining playbooks and templates, coaching teams on space‑planning solutions, and overseeing proposals, site assessments, utilization metrics, and delivery of relocations, restacks, renovations, and consolidations. Goals and timetables are set for the organizational unit and its sub‑units.

- Perform root‑cause analysis and recommend optimal solutions for projects and program operations.
- Collaborate with IFM, PDS, and client real‑estate leadership for daily operations and alignment.
- Create and maintain playbooks, templates, and tools; coach teams on space‑planning and move‑management delivery.
- Direct planning proposals, site assessments, utilization metrics, and supply‑demand studies.
- Manage delivery of relocations, restacks, renovations, and consolidations, setting goals and timelines for units.

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, corporate real estate, facilities management, or a related field, and have five to seven years of corporate real‑estate experience. Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills are required, along with proficiency in CAFM software, MS Office, and architectural drawings.
