Overview
2024 Groundbreaking
Construction Commenced
High-speed rail system construction began on April 22, 2024, marking the start of a significant infrastructure project.
218 Miles
Rail System Span
The electric rail system connects major cities, offering a high-speed alternative to traditional travel.
$12B Budget
Project Funding
The project combines federal grants and private investments, demonstrating significant financial commitment.
400k Tons CO₂
Annual Emissions Reduction
The rail system aims to significantly reduce carbon emissions, contributing to environmental sustainability.
Rebranded from earlier projects and acquired by Fortress.
Currently constructing the nation's first true high-speed rail system along the I-15 median.
Collaborates with Siemens to build ten AP 220 trainsets under a 30-year maintenance contract in Nevada.
Stations span Las Vegas, Victor Valley, Hesperia, and Rancho Cucamonga, with Metrolink links to downtown LA.
Utilizes union labor across 13 rail and building trades, deploying significant infrastructure materials.
Incorporates wildlife overpasses and zero-grade crossings to protect desert ecosystems.
Aims to transform travel by halving drive time and easing I-15 congestion.
Culture + Values
Environment + Sustainability
400,000+ tons CO₂ annually
CO₂ Reduction
Reduces greenhouse gas emissions through the use of all-electric, zero-emission high-speed trains.
700 million miles
Vehicle Miles Reduced
Decreases the total distance traveled by vehicles, contributing to lower carbon emissions.
16,000 short‑haul flights
Flight Emissions Eliminated
Equivalent reduction in flights due to high-speed rail usage, lowering air travel emissions.
100% emission‑free power by 2045
Renewable Energy Goal
Aim to source all electricity from green power providers by 2045.
Supports design and construction of three wildlife overcrossings and upgrades over 600 culverts across I‑15 for regional habitat connectivity
Foresees sustainable station design with EV charging, water‑efficient irrigation, paperless ticketing, recycled/reclaimed materials, and integration with transit‑oriented development
