In this position you will be responsible for the cybersecurity requirements throughout the project lifecycle, from tender through handover. You will work closely with the Cyber Security Lead or Officer to meet both Hitachi Energy and customer standards, assess deviations and risks, and act as the liaison on automation solution compliance. You will review project deliverables for IEC 62443‑3‑3 certification, maintain documentation, manage vulnerability remediation, and support IEC 62443 2‑4 and 3‑3 certification efforts.
The role also involves contributing to the cybersecurity assurance process, ensuring test‑area asset security, and adhering to external and internal regulations while upholding Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity.
Candidates should hold a BE/BTech degree (preferably in power, electrical or communications) and have at least six years of IT/OT experience, including three years focused on OT cybersecurity or five years as an OT Cyber Security Implementer or Architect. Advanced knowledge of OT networking, security tools such as Nessus, CIS‑CAT and Nmap, and familiarity with standards like IEC 62443, NERC‑CIP, BDEW and NIST is required. Certifications such as ISA 99/62443 Cybersecurity Fundamentals Specialist, GIAC, GICSP or CEH are desirable, along with strong communication skills.
