Description

• Contribute to business development, networking, and client engagement to grow CHPK Group’s Building Surveying offering.
• Actively share knowledge and best practices, promoting technical excellence across the company.
• Lead and deliver a variety of Building Surveying services, including:
• Reinstatement Cost Assessments and feasibility studies.
• Manage client relationships, ensuring delivery aligns with agreed timescales, budgets, and expectations.
• Ensure technical accuracy, quality, and consistency across all project deliverables.
• Mentor Graduate Building Surveyors, including providing APC support and technical review.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of current legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
• Technical Due Diligence – conducting surveys and preparing reports for acquisitions, disposals, and refinancing.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams — including Cost Consultancy, and M&E Services and Fire Engineering — to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Prepare and present reports, specifications, and cost estimates with professionalism and commercial awareness.
• Dilapidations – representing both landlords and tenants, including the assessment, preparation, and negotiation of claims.
• Design & Contract Administration – managing refurbishment and fit-out projects from inception to completion.

Requirements

• Confident representing CHPK Group at client and industry events.
• Organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Minimum of 1 years’ post-qualification experience within a consultancy environment.
• Degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
• Commercially astute with a sound understanding of market trends and client priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused approach.
• MRICS qualification (essential).
• Strong working knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contract suites.
• Proven experience delivering commercial building surveying services including dilapidations, TDD, and contract administration.
• Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to travel to sites across London and occasionally nationwide.
• Experience acting as Project Manager or Employer’s Agent.
• Defect Analysis, Schedules of Condition, and PPM reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Deltek PIM is advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong technical, contractual, and regulatory knowledge, particularly within commercial Building Surveying and/or Project Management.
