Project Manager

Description

The Power Transmission Project Operations section is responsible for execution of the turnkey and offshore projects within the business group

The Project Manager role is the operational head of a defined project or package, organized in the Projects section and acting as responsible for one or more projects

• Provide input to allocated tenders – or contribute in other defined management tasks requiring project approach
• Ensure adequate use of tools, processes and procedures for project execution
• Report to Client according to Contract requirements
• Take a temporary role in the tender team if required
• Ensure effective use of the resources to meet internal and external requirements – also taking people management in priorities
• Obtain an as optimal project execution as possible in accordance with the Project Model, including identifying and managing risks and opportunities
• The team is spread between several locations – and may support execution activities ongoing in different plants and sites
• Responsibility for scoping, tendering and managing multiple marine subcontracts, such as diving, route preparation, flexible/ cable product installation, trenching and rockdumping. Experience of managing manufacturing contracts such as umbilical's, flexible or rigid flowlines would be an advantage.
• Be overall responsible for intercompany agreements and dedicated sub-contracts
• Manage the assigned project(s) and ensure project(s) are delivered on time, on budget, with the required quality and within agreed specifications and in compliance with agreed HSE standards
• Provide input upon request to allocated tenders for aspects relating to Project Management
• Ensure effective use of the resources within the team and in cooperation with the departments, disciplines and internal units to meet internal and external requirements/obligations
• Manage a geographically spread project team organization
• Take active part in the DICs / IDCs / risk assessments
• Organize and lead the project in order to achieve the best possible co-operation between the involved units and team members
• Ensure that project(s) are executed in line with the mandate given - according to Contract requirements and Clients as well as internal expectations (QHSER, sales, cost, margin, cash, time, phasing)

Requirements

• A project manager is expected to be capable of heading our standard EPC and EPCI projects
• The matrix organization of the project management requires good communication and information at the interface between vertical and horizontal axis
• Effective use of the Project Model and internal procedures, including profitability requirements
