Responsible for administration and overall supervision of all field personnel.
Ensure system compliance to NCTA, FCC regulations and Tillman FiberCo minimum operating specifications.
Coordinate field survey of existing or proposed outside plant installations including aerial and underground network facilities and associated infrastructure.
Ensure constant compliance with OSHA safety standards.
Lead and model effective troubleshooting systems as necessary in the restoration of plant issues.
Liaise with other departments as necessary to maintain an in-depth technical knowledge of new technology being deployed.
Serve as on-call management and respond to end-to-end OSP needs in the event of a service impairment or outage.
Manage contract resources as necessary to supplement project needs.
Troubleshoot systems as necessary to define root cause and break-fix alternatives.
Respond to the needs of a 24/7/365 operation, when necessary.
Manage and coordinate outside plant construction using contract resources to accomplish assigned projects.
Remain in a state of readiness to handle call issues when on call.
Responsible for meeting QA/Compliance standards as well as budgetary requirements.

Must have valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s license.
Clear understanding of fiber design, splicing matrix sheets and documentation requirements with the ability to communicate that understanding.
Advanced knowledge in underground and aerial construction techniques.
Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Ability to drive a personal vehicle to various sites, including daytime and nighttime travel.
Knowledge of Email, Excel, and Word.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a fiber construction environment.
Ability to walk and work on uneven terrain and in varying weather conditions.
Must be able to work emergency schedules during natural disasters and network outages.
Proficient knowledge of optical networks.
Must be able to pass standard background check.
Ability to bend, stoop, or reach as necessary to perform essential job duties.
You must have close vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust your focus with good hand-eye coordination.
Bachelor’s or associate degree in engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
Strong organizational skills.
Computer skills.
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
Must be able to work after hours and weekends. Remain in service during outages until resolved.
