Project Manager - Electrical

Description

• Define site‑specific safety requirements with the safety team.
• Develop a Project Execution Plan to manage contracts, resources, procurement, and critical‑path scheduling.
• Monitor financials, including cost tracking, revenue forecasts, change orders, billing reports, and invoicing.
• Oversee procurement of materials and subcontracts, manage on‑site receipt, progress reporting, and cost commitments.
• Submit monthly cost‑to‑complete projections.
• Conduct pre‑construction planning, review estimates, and identify risks and opportunities.
• Obtain necessary permits and licenses.
• Manage project documentation such as submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and work plans.
• Communicate effectively with owners, contractors, and representatives.
• Lead project closeout activities, including final documentation, invoicing, and retainage release.
• Build relationships in local markets and collaborate with project teams and leadership.

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years experience in medium/high‑voltage substation or transmission line construction.
• Proficiency with project management software (Procore, Build2Win, MS Project/P6, HCSS).
• Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel/Word competency.
• Ability to read contracts, detail‑oriented, and well‑organized.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing project teams.
• Knowledge of job cost accounting and CPM scheduling.
