General Cleaner - FT

Description

The Janitor is responsible for keeping the workplace clean, organized, and disinfected. This includes routine cleaning of interior surfaces, floors, furnishings, restrooms, and handling waste while ensuring cleaning supplies are stocked.

Employees must follow safety and precaution rules, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, report unsafe conditions or maintenance needs, maintain a cleaning log, and close doors at the end of the night shift.

• Clean interior building surfaces, including floors, carpets, rugs, windows, walls, and lighting fixtures.
• Remove stains from upholstered furniture and dust furniture, marble, and moldings.
• Empty and clean trash cans, ashtrays, and dispose of waste and recycling.
• Disinfect high‑touch items such as desks, door handles, office tools, and phones.
• Clean and restock restrooms, including replenishing supplies.
• Wash windows and mirrors.
• Remove trash and snow from sidewalks when needed.
• Maintain cleaning supply inventory and request replacements as required.
• Report unsafe conditions or maintenance needs to supervisors.
• Keep a cleaning log indicating inspected areas.
• Follow safety and precaution rules and lift up to 50 lb.
• Close doors at the end of night shift.
• Follow instructions, meet commitments, and communicate delays promptly.
• Observe safety procedures and use equipment properly.

Requirements

Successful candidates demonstrate consistent attendance, reliability in following instructions and meeting commitments, and a strong safety mindset, using equipment and materials properly.

• Vacuum, sweep, and mop offices, hallways, lobbies, elevators, stairs, locker rooms, and other work areas.
• Demonstrate punctual attendance and reliability.
