The Leasing Associate is tasked with leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations. This role handles lease signings and serves as a landlord on behalf of property owners.
The associate responds to phone and online inquiries, schedules tours, qualifies prospects, processes applications with credit and rental‑history checks, and follows up on applicant status. They showcase apartments, close leases, prepare units for move‑in, conduct community orientations, and manage the property’s social‑media presence. Additionally, they address resident complaints, organize community events, complete all necessary paperwork, attend goal‑setting meetings, and work closely with maintenance to ensure timely service resolution.
The position requires an associate’s degree or equivalent, or six months to one year of relevant experience, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and property‑management software. A valid driver’s license is also required.
The role involves extended periods of desk work, occasional stair climbing, and the ability to lift files or supplies up to 20 lb. Work is primarily office‑based with occasional outdoor exposure, and success depends on passing a background check.
