The Automation Engineer will design, program, and maintain PLC-based systems that support automated manufacturing operations. This role involves improving system performance, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, optimized processes. Experience with ladder logic programming is essential, and familiarity with robotics (Fanuc/Kawasaki) or SCADA systems is beneficial.

  • Stay informed on new automation technologies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Identify and deliver process improvements that reduce downtime and enhance quality.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems.
  • Design and implement control systems to automate and enhance production processes.
  • Develop, modify, and optimize PLC programs to improve system performance and reliability.
  • Maintain documentation and provide training or technical guidance to maintenance personnel.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues involving sensors, motors, drives, and other components.

We are looking for the following experience;

  • Experience with Fanuc or Kawasaki robotics.
  • Exposure to ignition or SCADA systems.
  • Background in high-precision manufacturing.
  • Understanding of automation hardware including sensors, actuators, and drives.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Solid troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
  • Strong PLC programming skills (Allen-Bradley or similar platforms).
  • Knowledge of industrial safety standards.
  • 4+ years of experience in industrial automation or control systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering field.
  • Preferred: Support programming and integration of Fanuc or Kawasaki robots, and assist with ignition or SCADA systems.
