The Machine Operator performs basic duties related to wiring harnesses. Routine duties include selecting fit sizing, assembly operations, quality inspections following control plans, reaction and SPC charts, continuity testing, gauge checks, machine set‑ups, basic troubleshooting, manual material handling and 5S activities. Non‑routine duties may involve sorting and inspecting suspect material, processing rework, assisting other product lines, and other tasks assigned by the Supervisor or Group Leader.
Applicants must hold a High School Diploma or GED and have at least one year of experience in a mechanical trade or harness work, with prior soldering experience or willingness to undergo soldering training. Relocation assistance is not provided; only candidates within a 50‑mile radius are considered, although active‑duty military members are exempt from this geographic limitation.
Position criteria require the ability to lift up to 35 lb, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting. Candidates must demonstrate working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures, be able to read and follow standard operating procedures, and be willing to work daily or weekend overtime and flex to different areas or local plants as needed.
