The Role

Overview

Manage construction project closeout: gather docs, ensure compliance, resolve final issues.

Tasks

-Identify and resolve any outstanding issues, deficiencies, or conflicts identified during the final stages of a project. -Evaluates daily production, schedule and budget projections to accurately track project performance. Documents daily activities in Company approved methods and -Remits accurate project quantity input and controls using assigned project cost coding to ensure project financials are accurately reported. -Develop and implement closeout procedures, then collect, organize, and ensure the timely submission of all necessary project documentation, including Bill of Materials (BOM) and punch list items. -Support the preparation and delivery of turnover packages and ensure all contractual close-out deliverables are met. -Manages cost coding with Company finance and accounting teams regarding employee time, materials, equipment and subcontractor needs. -Reviews project specifications for quality assurance at the beginning of work, during the project work and after work completes. -Initiates and manages appropriate certificates, inspections and other documentation regarding construction production on the project site. -Ensure all contractual requirements and industry standards are met, and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to obtain their required closeout documentation. -Serve as a liaison between project teams, subcontractors, client representatives, and third-party agencies (e.g., MTA) to resolve issues related to project completion. -Manage the collection, verification, and submission of closeout documentation, including as-builts, test reports, and training records. -Ensure compliance with safety and security, environmental, and quality standards throughout the closeout phase. -Track and report closeout progress against schedule, highlighting risks and recommending mitigation strategies.

What You Bring

-Minimum of 5 years of experience in project closeout management or a related role -Strong communication and interpersonal skills -Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field -Ability to work effectively in a team environment -Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills -Proficiency in project management software and tools -Experience working in the construction or civil engineering industry -Strong knowledge of project closeout processes and procedures
