Production Support Technician

Overview

Install, repair, and support windows, doors, showers; manage warehouse operations.

Tasks

-Occasional lifting and/or moving of items up to 75lbs depending on the role -Maintain accurate service records and submit reports for completed jobs. -Support delivery logistics and product loading for installation crews. -Operate hand and power tools safely and in accordance with company procedures. -Inspect, diagnose, and repair residential and commercial windows, doors, showers, and bath systems. -Reseal and waterproof fixtures to prevent leaks and damage. -Ensure compliance with safety guidelines, building codes, and manufacturer specifications. -Communicate effectively with customers regarding service needs, options, and maintenance recommendations. -Track damaged/missing items and assist with inventory control and logistics. -Perform both warranty and non-warranty service with attention to quality and customer satisfaction. -Adjust, align, and replace hardware, seals, and glass components. -Remaining in a stationary position (e.g., sitting or standing) for extended periods -Prepare and stage materials for field jobs. -Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse environment. -Identify and resolve leaks, mechanical issues, and operational problems. -Assist in maintaining accurate inventory counts and records. -Load/unload shipments and organize warehouse inventory. -Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and products. -Prepare parts and materials for field service jobs and installations.

-Warehouse Environment: Industrial setting with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and moving equipment. May require standing, walking, and handling materials or machinery. -Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. -Call Center Environment: Shared workspace with frequent phone and computer use. Noise level may be moderate due to multiple conversations occurring simultaneously. -Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management. -High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. -Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment (forklift certification a plus). -Working indoors and/or outdoors in various environmental conditions -Ability to lift and move up to 50-75LBS and work at heights or in confined spaces when required. -Office Environment: Professional setting with standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. Noise levels are typically low to moderate. -Field-based or Canvassing Environment: Outdoor work in various weather conditions. Requires walking, standing, and interacting with the public. Travel between locations may be required. -Frequent movement, including walking, bending, reaching, or climbing stairs -2–5 years of experience in window, door, or bath/shower installation, repair, or warehouse operations preferred. -Proficiency with basic computer systems or inventory software. -Strong communication and customer service skills. -Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if operating a company vehicle). -Use of hands and fingers to operate computers, tools, or equipment -Knowledge of window, door, and glass system components and installation techniques.
