Human Resource Manager

Description

The Human Resource Manager role is based in Loganholme, Queensland, and reports to the Strategic People Advisor – Global Agriculture. This newly created, full‑time position will lead the strategic development of high‑performance people initiatives for the Agricultural Division across Australia. The role combines expert HR advice with hands‑on coaching to empower leaders and their teams.

• Provide HR generalist and specialist Industrial Relations advice on recruitment, learning, performance, grievances, and dispute resolution.
• Develop and implement people initiatives aligned with Valmont’s values and strategic objectives.
• Advise leaders on capability, workforce succession planning, and recruitment to achieve business outcomes.
• Interpret and apply employment legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements, and coach leaders on IR best practices.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, and termination.
• Design recruitment strategies, screen candidates, conduct interviews, and coordinate hiring decisions with managers.
• Ensure >90% compliance with annual performance management and development initiatives.
• Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and generate HR reports for data‑driven decision‑making.

Requirements

Candidates must bring at least five years of HR business‑partnering or generalist experience, a bachelor’s degree in human resources management (or equivalent), and demonstrated expertise in industrial relations. Strong communication abilities and a track record of building effective stakeholder relationships are essential for success in this role.
