Key duties include managing reconciliations, supporting period‑end close processes, consolidating fund data, processing equity transactions, preparing financial statements, generating performance reports, assisting with audits, handling accounts payable, and completing various ad‑hoc projects.
- Collaborative communication with employees, management, and external clients
- Prepare monthly bank and account reconciliations
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close procedures
- Perform monthly fund consolidation and equity batch transactions for investor contributions and distributions
- Prepare consolidated GAAP, market‑value, and IFRS financial statements for lenders and investors
- Generate fund performance reports such as time‑weighted return (TWR) and internal rate of return (IRR)
- Support financial audits and compile work papers for external auditors
- Record journal entries and process fund accounts payable
- Prepare subscription facility borrowing requests, capital calls, and distribution processing
- Produce lender compliance reports
- Execute other ad‑hoc projects as assigned

The Staff Accountant I – Investment Accounting & Reporting role is a hybrid position with remote work on Monday and Friday and on‑site work Tuesday through Thursday. Candidates must live within commuting distance of the corporate office in Sorrento Valley, San Diego, CA.
The position requires a strong foundation in accounting principles and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced corporate setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
- CPA designation (preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of relevant accounting experience in a corporate environment
- Public accounting experience (a plus)
- Real‑estate or investment accounting experience (strong plus)
- Strong understanding of accounting theory and cash‑flow reconciliations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Highly detailed, organized, and a strong team player
- Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision
