Manage work process execution and assure technical adequacy in accordance with company, client, contract and industry codes and standards
Coordinating Bechtel design responses back to Terra Power and ensuring Bechtel has appropriate understanding of task and requirements prior to start of a particular scope of work
Keeping apprised of Terra Power design changes and impacts to Bechtel design scope
Ensuring that the Terra Power vendor design submittals are reviewed by the appropriate Bechtel engineering discipline.
Assists the Terra Power Engineer leadership team to understand the Bechtel design processes and interface needs to support the design schedule and the execution and hand off of that design to construction.
Ensuring the handoff’s between Terra Power system design and the Bechtel physical design are received per the schedule; and contain all of the required inputs.
Resolve and respond to the client, regulator, or field-initiated questions on engineering during the appropriate execution phase
Communicate complex technical issues and recommend solutions to Terra Power, project engineering management, and functional management as directed and as appropriate.

Prior experience working in a Nuclear Quality and Safety Environment.
Detailed knowledge of the interfaces between the various Bechtel engineering disciplines; understanding the handoff’s that are required between each to progress design; and imparting/assisting the Terrapower team in understanding that relationship.
Knowledge of Bechtel Corporate guides and standards.
Thorough knowledge of business practices, project forecasting, and project control systems required.

Prior experience in executing an EPC contract using Construction Work Volumes / Advance Work Packages.
Experience in supporting the development of the electrical engineering cable routing and terminations; as well as obtaining design inputs necessary to size the key components of the electrical distribution system.
Experience in selecting and supporting the development of Control Systems design and integrating that design with the Distributed Control System (DCS) vendor for their development of software and control and I/O panels.
Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards
Extensive technical knowledge of Quality, engineering systems, engineering calculations, applications of engineering methods and materials, applications of computer software to engineering problems to ensure the design is cost-effective, in accordance with applicable safety, health, environmental regulations, customer requirements, and engineering codes and standards.
Working knowledge of engineering procedures, covering discipline deliverables, production, and control, as well as organization and responsibilities for the Engineering Department.
BS or advanced degree in a recognized Engineering discipline (preferably related to traditional Electrical Engineering, or Control Systems and PLC) from an accredited university or college with at least 10-13 years of progressive related experience
Experience executing projects taking them through design, procurement, and delivery to construction of design and procurements.
Proficient knowledge of project engineering processes and procedures
