Warehouse Lead (Swing Shift)

Description

Requirements

• Speaking: Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of Elimination of waste, Continuous Improvement, 6S, Kaizen & Kanban.
• Problem Solving/Critical Thinking: Ability to identify options for solving a problem encountered during the manufacturing process. The ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Interpersonal Skills: The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. The ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
• Simpson Strong-Tie Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Certification (will certify at hire) required.
• Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving variables encountered during the manufacturing process.
• 5 years related manufacturing experience or training.
• Math and Measurements: Able to apply basic Algebra and Geometry concepts. Able to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimal equivalents. Able to read a tape measure to 1/32” tolerance, to use combination squares to measure angles to +/- 1 degree and ability to use and read a micrometer and interpret blueprints.
• 2 years experience leading or managing others, preferred.
