HVAC Service Technician IV is responsible for maintaining an open, positive, and professional line of communication with customers, vendors, general contractors, internal customers, and trade partners. The role requires the ability to properly start up, diagnose, and repair issues on various types of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.
- Startup and test equipment on commercial and industrial facilities.
- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and equipment.
- Log all startup information and service work orders into company-provided iPad.
- Meet equipment startup deadlines and inform Service Manager of any issues.
- Maintain inventory and cleanliness of company-provided vehicle.
- Follow all safety rules and procedures of Rogers Mechanical and General Contractors.
- Clean, adjust, and maintain HVAC systems.
- Provide technical direction and on‑the‑job training to customers.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults on HVAC systems.
- Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects or controls.

Travel is required.
- Demonstrate proficiency and knowledge of commercial and industrial air duct distribution systems.
- Know relevant building codes, legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures for installation and maintenance.
- Working knowledge of HVAC equipment function and operations.
- Ability to properly braze copper refrigerant piping.
- Proficient in reading schematics and mechanical prints.
- Safely work at elevations such as roofs, scissor lifts, and ladders.
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening interpersonal skills.
- Time management skills.
- Familiarity with Building Automation Systems.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- OSHA 10 certification required.
- EPA certification required.
- Ten or more years of experience required.
- Required to stand, walk, and sit.
- Talk or hear both in person and by telephone.
- Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds.
