Material Expeditor

Description

• Prepare and submit regular reports on material status, delivery performance, and inventory levels to management.
• Communicate regularly with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to expedite orders and resolve any issues or delays.
• Monitor and track the status of material orders from placement through delivery to ensure on-time receipt.
• Maintain accurate records of material shipments, inventory levels, and delivery schedules using tracking systems and databases.
• Identify potential supply chain bottlenecks and collaborate with stakeholders to develop contingency plans.
• Coordinate with procurement and project management teams to prioritize material needs based on project timelines and production schedules.
• Verify that received materials meet quality standards and specifications before acceptance.

Requirements

• Knowledge of quality control processes and material specifications.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in materials expediting, procurement, or supply chain coordination.
• Proficiency with inventory management and order tracking software.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Certification in supply chain management or logistics (e.g., APICS, CSCP).
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Experience in a manufacturing, construction, or engineering environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in supply chain management, logistics, or related field preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
