Dealing effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes, where applicable referring major changes to line manager.
Has managed clients, contractors, and consultants directly in previous roles.
Taking personal responsibility for making cost checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects and in all cases ensuring that timely and accurate cost checking and valuation takes place.
Develop good relationships with client and stakeholders
Seek out opportunities to develop new business with existing clients and report such opportunities to the appropriate line manager.
Producing feasibility studies and writing procurement reports.
Estimating and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan.
Where appropriate, leading a cost management team, ensuring that they deliver on all of the above accountabilities.
Comply with the requirements of Turner & Townsend’s Business Management Systems including Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Management associated with the role and position within the company.
Tendering and procurement, including managing the pre-qualification stage, producing the tender list, putting the preliminaries together, conducting pre tender estimates, tender analysis, producing the tender report and compiling the contractual documents.
Producing monthly post contract cost reports for the Line Manager to present to the client.
Knowledge management – Ensure that key information and learning generated from each commission is entered into the Turner & Townsend internal database.
Inputting into value engineering.
Follow project governance processes and systems that are utilised throughout the project and cascade Turner & Townsend cost management procedures to the relevant staff.

Intermediate to high level MS Excel experience.
Must have a driving licence
Preferable RICS and AIQS accredited.
Sound experience in cost planning and contract administration
Build on Data Centre local experience
Recognised degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar.
Previous CostX experience is preferable.
5+ Years of experience in cost management roles with emphasis on consultancy roles.
