Works closely with Project Managers, project team, and clients to implement solutions.
Utilizes and programs PLC control systems, SCADA Systems, and Human Machine Interface software to effectively design and implement instrumentation and control systems for water/wastewater projects.
Creates instrument material take-offs from drawings.
Prepares specifications and drawings, writes control system descriptions, and performs start up and commissioning activities with minimal input from other personnel.

Must have extensive experience with system networking, I&C Drawings (loops, cabinet layout/wiring) and P&ID drawings.
Multiple office locations to work from: Stick close to home or travel for a change of scenery
Extensive experience troubleshooting problems in operational situations.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
Requires extensive experience with programming PLCs and HMIs, and knowledge of various PLCs and SCADA software.
The ability to work alone but also effectively as part of a team is required.
Candidates are required to have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record as determined by McKim & Creed.
The ability to balance multiple work assignments on multiple projects at the same time is required.
Requires excellent communication, and the ability to take and understand directives from Project Managers, Contractors, and Regulators.
Candidates are required to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field required.
Understands and implements communications systems such as Ethernet based local area networks and wireless radio systems.
Requires 15 years of I&C design and PLC and SCADA programming experience.
Requires process-oriented thinking with strong organizational and technical skills.
The ability to complete work consistently, with moderate flexibility to accommodate varying project demands is required.
