The New Home Consultant guides homebuyers through the entire purchasing process, from initial engagement to closing, using proactive sales techniques, relationship management, and a strong understanding of the housing market to ensure a seamless experience.
The role also involves maintaining the Welcome Home Center, model homes, and inventory homes, while collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth transactions and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Regular on‑site attendance is required; the job may involve working more than eight hours in a construction trailer, operating vehicles, reading plans, climbing stairs or ladders, and lifting or carrying equipment over 50 pounds.
- Engage visitors, establish relationships, and assess home‑buying needs using Lennar’s selling philosophy and the 10‑5‑2‑1 approach.
- Generate, process, and close home sales from self‑generated or referred leads.
- Provide consistent follow‑through with customers from initial contact through closing and post‑closing activities, maintaining accurate communication records.
- Maintain the condition of the Welcome Home Center, model homes, and inventory homes; report and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
- Travel throughout the local community to generate leads from Realtors, co‑brokers, referrals, and proactive self‑prospecting.
- Develop and maintain in‑depth knowledge of the competitive market, product offerings, community details, sales trends, advertising strategies, and customer demographics.
- Monitor and record daily customer traffic using company‑designated tracking tools.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth transactions and exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Participate in sales meetings, neighborhood promotions, and marketing initiatives to drive sales growth.

- Minimum qualifications: high school diploma (or equivalent); college degree and real estate license preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in new‑home sales, real estate, or related field; proven ability to build relationships and close sales.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer‑service skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and sales‑tracking tools.
- Self‑motivated, results‑driven, and able to work independently.
- Physical requirements: regular on‑site attendance, ability to work >8 hours in a construction trailer, operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs/ladders, lift/carry equipment >50 lb, occasional operation of construction equipment, finger dexterity for keyboard use.
