Operations Director - Project Management

Description

The role manages a major defence sector project for a strategic client, with a construction value of approximately £500 million, forming part of a £5 billion infrastructure investment over the next ten years.

• Lead day‑to‑day project design, construction and technical query coordination.
• Direct data collection, dashboards and update cost, schedule, risk and performance information, mitigating impacts.
• Facilitate project meetings, assurance reviews and technical boards (GWRs, scrutiny boards, PCP, PCG, PAG, SPAG).
• Support PMO, regional teams and client‑side project manager on TSP/contractor matters.
• Promote and support Learning for Excellence (LfE), Learning Labs and the collaboration hub.
• Manage key client relationships, generating prospects and leads.

• Chartered membership or equivalent professional development.
• Minimum 15 years infrastructure delivery across the full RIBA lifecycle.
• NEC4 ECC accreditation and Security Clearance eligibility.
• Proven leadership experience delivering defence sector projects.
