The Assistant Superintendent assists with coordinating and supervising craft employee activities, reporting directly to the Superintendent. This role ensures projects are built according to design, within budget, and on schedule.
- Supervise craft personnel to ensure project meets design, budget, and schedule
- Plan work schedule, manpower, material quantities, and equipment needs
- Monitor compliance with safety and work procedures
- Advise Superintendent of potential problems and assist in solving them

- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- High School Diploma plus journeyman carpentry or supervisory training (preferred)
- 5 years construction experience or 2 years with a 4-year degree (required)
- Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering (preferred)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong understanding of construction operations and processes
- Thorough knowledge of safety requirements
- Ability to motivate employees and handle diverse situations
- Good vision (with or without correction)
- Full coordination of eyes, hands, and fingers
- Ability to climb and balance on ladders and scaffolding
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at height
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb (occasionally more)
- Capacity to work under stressful deadlines
- Proficiency in English communication, both verbal and written
- Ability to perform business math and interpret data
