Quality Assurance: Perform quality control checks on substation physical engineering and/or protection and control design project
Technical Documentation & Specifications: Develop technical equipment, construction specifications and work scopes
Construction & Commissioning Support: Provide on-site technical support for select ENERCON clients during construction and commissioning as required
Substation Design Expertise: Act as the subject matter expert for detailed 4kV -500kV substation design and/or protection control and SCADA design projects. Typical substation design deliverables include one-line drawings, three-line drawings, general arrangement drawings, section and plan views, conduit and cable plan & schedule, grounding plan, foundation plan drawings, Bill of materials and construction aid documentation. Typical substation protection and control engineering projects deliverables include relay one-line drawings, AC and DC schematic drawings, Panel front drawings, Bill of materials, Control house layout, wiring drawings, construction letters. Perform substation design calculations and analysis such as ground grid analysis and design, lightning protection studies, lighting design, rigid bus calculations, AC and DC voltage drop calculations. Perform physical design in MicroStation, AutoCAD or similar CAD tools on an as needed basis
Protection & Control Engineering: Review Protection and control relay settings files and work with relay settings engineers to ensure the relay settings are correct
Project Leadership & Coordination: Lead substation design projects on an as needed basis. Coordinate projects with different teams for Protection & Controls, Structural, Civil, Transmission and Design/Drafting teams. Work closely with peers to ensure accurate and on-time delivery of electrical design that will meet client and industry standards and specifications and meet good engineering practices. Produce project cost estimates, schedules, and budgets for projects. Other duties as assigned

Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the US without requiring current or future sponsorship.
Proficient with typical office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Windows
Experience working with WinIGS and CDEGs
Familiarity with NESC, IEEE and other applicable codes and standards
P.E license is preferred in this role but not a requirement
Willingness to enter energized electric substations with proper training and PPE
Ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) according to com pany and client policies.
Experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD and/or Bluebeam

Ability and willingness to travel 10% of the time. To include travel for project and marketing meetings as well as to clients' construction sites, requiring a valid driver's license, and having access to a car. Most travel is expected to be within driving distance of the ENERCON office at this time
Remote, or other ENERCON office locations will also be considered
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering with 10 or more years’ experience in substation protection and control and physical engineering design
