Tasks

-Report any incident/hazard that will or has the potential to cause harm in the workplace -Comply with legislative requirements, company policies, procedures and management systems -Provide high quality and practical advice on construction law matters to assist the business in critical decision making -Provide high quality advice and guidance to the business on day-to-day legal matters -Assist in mentoring Law Clerks -Act as primary legal contact on those projects / contracts for construction and engineering law that have been assigned to Legal Counsel -Assist General Counsel and Company Secretary with ad hoc legal and governance requirements -Comply with all lawful or reasonable directions from managers relating to HSE matters

What You Bring

-Previous private practice experience. -Intermediate skills MS Office suite. -Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence at all levels. -Negotiation & Influencing skills. -Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction and/or engineering law. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Experience in construction, commercial and contract law, including negotiating and drafting of engineering, procurement and construction contracts. -Time management skills and the ability to balance competing priorities. -Experience in insurance law, dispute resolution and corporate law -Use effective interpersonal skills in working with others to build successful working relationships
